Course Description
Current legislation requires employers to ensure that sufficient numbers of staff are prepared to assist in suitable preventative and protective measures to minimise the potential for fires to start and to ensure the safety of all occupants in a building should one occur. The course covers the fire safety responsibilities in detail to assist managers to more fully understand their fire safety duties. Learners will gain an in-depth knowledge of the responsibilities and duties of ‘The Responsible Person’, upon whom the legal duty is placed to ensure fire safety measures are taken in the workplace. The course contributes to satisfying the requirements of Article 18 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 with regard to appointing one or more persons to assist in undertaking preventative and protective measures.
