Course Description
This course is designed for Dental practitioners and their teams and will help them understand how to respond and manage various medical emergencies including angina, heart attack, anaphylaxis, hypoglycaemia, fitting and asthma. This course meets the criteria for GDC’s development outcomes C & D.
Course Contents
- Recognise signs and symptoms of angina, heart attack, anaphylaxis, hypoglycaemia, fitting and asthma.
- Respond to a casualty with the following conditions angina, heart attack, anaphylaxis, hypoglycaemia, fitting and asthma.
- Provide treatment in line with GDC, BNF and RCUK guidelines to each of angina, heart attack, anaphylaxis, hypoglycaemia, fitting and asthma.
